Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a husband, father, and lifelong student of learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in college married to the love of my life. I love playing any instrument I can get my hands on; guitar, piano, organ, violin, ukulele, bass. I write music and stories. I enjoy reading and watching movies with my wife. I'm a computer programmer, video game program and graphic designer as a hobbyist. I greatly enjoy being outside and playing a sport, anything that gets my blood pumping is good enough for me to enjoy. I'm going to be a dad soon and that will be my next great adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church my entire life, but when I was 15 I had the opportunity to pray about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and I received my answer! It wasn't a loud or exhilarating experience such as a football game, but it was rejuvenating in its own sense. The Holy Ghost left an impression upon my soul that bore witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Once you know that, you know God has restored truth upon the earth once more in its fullness. You have to keep praying and it has to be sincere. Only then will you prove that your future actions will correlate with the answer you can receive.

How I live my faith

I am an organist for our church meetings, it's a little nerve racking but I appreciate the chance to develop my talents among such a loving and accepting group of people.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

To know of things physically one must experiment using the empirical data brought about by the physical world. To receive an answer to spiritual matters one must find the ultimate source of truth (God, our Heavenly Father), and experiment through applying the things we are seeking to know truth of spiritually and then observing its affect on our soul. Finally, the most important part for spiritual knowledge is to ask God yourself through prayer, with all sincerity and true desire to know. Faith is a word that signifies action, so act in harmony with the teachings as part of the test. You will have a whole new world opened before your very eyes. Show more Show less
