Hi I'm Wendy Jones

I am Wendy Jones, I am married and we have 2 children and 9 grandchildren, and I am a Mormon

About Me

Hi ! My name is Wendy I am blessed to be a wife to my sweet husband of 34 years, a mother, to 2 children 1 boy,1 girl, and a Grandma to 9 granchildren. I enjoy creating photo presentations, cooking for family and friends, listening to dulcimer music, and traveling, gardeing, and love dogs!

Why I am a Mormon

I became intrgued with the Mormon faith while my husband and daughter were being taught the member discussions. After they were baptized, I started to attend church with them and our son who was also not a member at that time. One day, my husband asked me to hear a scripture out of the bible. I listened, and then thought to myself, why do you say you are a Christian woman, but do not practice it? I thought I should put my faith I had as achild into action, and decided I wanted to live my faith, not just with my words, but by my actions. I took the discussions, and was baptized at the age of 35, after being a Lutheran all of my life. I love the gospel, it has given me hope, peace and much joy. I pray as I grow in the gospel of the true church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, that I can be a wonderful example to those who know me and those I have yet to meet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving service to others in our congregation through the Bishop's direction. I also Visit Teach a group of women in our congregation each month to see if they are in need of any help within their families. I also help by participating in humanitarian projects throughout the year with a ladies group near by. It is a way for us to live our faith and serve others. I read the scriptures on a daily basis to learn as much as I can about the gospel.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Wendy Jones
Visitors are allowed to attend our church services, my parents and brothers and sister are not members, but they have visited a few times. This has helped them understand more about our faith and opened the lines of communication in our families on both sides of our LDS family.  Show more Show less
