Hi I'm Meredith

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I just became parents a few months ago and we are loving every second spent with our little girl. My husband is going to law school. I stay at home with our baby. I also teach yoga and I dance in a local modern dance company. I love to read and i love art. I love our kitty:)

Why I am a Mormon

As a little girl when I would get scared at night my dad would sit on the side of my bed and tell me the stories of Jesus from the New Testament. Learning about Jesus always made me feel safe and at peace. I knew that he was my Savior at a very young age. By about 13 or 14 years of age, I wanted to know what I needed to do to follow Christ, and return to live with Him again someday. After much prayer and study, the Lord answered my prayers and I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church on the earth. I feel happy when I follow the commandments given to us by our Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because it brings me peace, purpose and eternal joy.

How I live my faith

I love to be a disciple of Jesus by loving those around me. I'm passionate about helping all of God's children know how beautiful they are inside and out. I strive to teach my baby girl that she is loved by me, her daddy, and by God. My calling in church is to be a primary leader. I teach children the plan of their Heavenly Father and help them know the choices that they can make that will make them eternally happy. I also live my faith by praying every day and repenting daily...doing this helps me stay close to my Savior and feel His saving light and influence in my life.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, but I sure did! My husband and I both served missions because we wanted to serve others and help them find peace and joy in their lives. My husband served in Russia and I served in Chile. We both felt so much joy in our service. I was amazed at the goodness that lives in all people. I loved teaching others about their Heavenly Father. I saw lives changed and hearts touched. I saw people come unto Christ and find great happiness. Show more Show less
