Hi I'm Chad

I'm a father, husband and occasional basketball player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm proud and priveledged to be a father and husband. I love to spend time with my family, serve in my calling as Bishop, read good books and play a little basketball once and a while. I'm a computer programmer and I love the challenge of it. I work for GE and do some contract work on the side when I'm able. It keeps us fed and allows us to travel a little and enjoy a good life in Leduc, Alberta. I love being from Alberta, Canada. The winters are cold, and the summers are brief, but it is a beautiful province and there's a lot of pride and tradition here. I married a girl born in Ontario and raised in British Columbia. She lights up my life. We have 6 beautiful children some of whom are home schooled. This keeps us very involved in education and provides for some deep and challenging conversations. As a family, we LOVE to read. The favorite family reward is a trip to Chapters with a gift card. We love to vacation as a family and travel when we can afford it. We've driven from one end of Canada to another with our tent trailer. We've been to Utah, Yellowstone National Park, Vancouver and all the way to P.E.I with stops along the way. Some of us have toured Europe, been to Australia, and even India.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for lots of reasons. I'm a Mormon because my Mom and Dad taught me and brought me up to be a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I love what the Church teaches and how it helps me raise and bless my family. I'm a Mormon because I have felt the whisperings of the Holy Ghost in small simple ways throughout my life telling me that it is what the Lord wants me to be. I'm a Mormon because of the teachings I've received that have taught me of the atonement of Jesus Christ and the experiences I've had in applying those teachings where I have felt of the redeeming love and forgiveness of Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon because I love the opportunities it gives me to serve my fellow men through callings I have accepted and served in.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing small and simple habits that remind me daily of my dependence on God and of his tender mercies to me and my family. These include prayer, scripture study, and designated and scheduled time together as a family.
