Hi I'm Jason Wells

I'm an attorney and Realtor. I'm a husband and father. I'm a huge sports fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In 2005 me and my family moved to Arizona to start a new chapter in our lives. I was attending law school, and my wife was putting me through it as a nurse. Now I own a law firm as well as a realty company. My primary goal is finding ways to empower individuals with the information and resources that will make a positive difference in their lives. When I'm not working I really enjoy watching a movie or favorite television show with my family. Other times I like to get away and golf or watch some football or basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

In my life I have learned that "Coming Unto Christ" is a life long, and daily pursuit. If we are to be like Him, we must learn of Him and strive to emulate Him - words are not enough. The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints has a prophet of God, one like Moses, Abraham, and Joseph. Prophets write of Christ, teach of Christ, and speak of Christ so that we may know in whom to look for our salvation. The scriptures tells us, "Wherefore, ye must press forward with a a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life." (2nd Nephi 31:20). I have found Christ in serving my fellow man. I have found Christ in reading the Bible and The Book of Mormon. I have found Christ in his messengers, the prophets. In short I have found Christ by coming unto Him.

How I live my faith

When I look at the example of the Savior there are two things that stand out to me: service and love. Truly you cannot have one of these two without the other, and they are description that personify the life of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. King Benjamin was a prophet who lived on the American continent and taught "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17).

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jason Wells
I know from my own experiences and learning that the Bible is the word of God. I use it in all my scripture study. The lessons and teachings in the Bible will bring us closer to Christ if we understand and apply those teachings in our lives. The Book of Mormon helps us understand the Bible - it is a companion, not a replacement. The two books together will help any one person understand God and His son Jesus Christ better than all the scholarly books ever written on the Bible alone. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Jason Wells
Marriage is a union established from the very beginning when God placed Adam and Eve together and commanded that they "multiply, and replenish the earth." (Gen. 1:28). The purpose of marriage is to create families, not in the informal sense of friends and loved ones, but in the formal sense of mother, father, and children. Regardless of orientation, each and everyone of us are children of our Heavenly Father; that makes us brothers and sisters. We should love one another unconditionally. Show more Show less
