Hi I'm Dorothy

I grew up in a small town in Florida. I'm a Flagler College graduate. I'm a proud mother of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated Flagler College in 2009 with my Business Administration degree. I a active volunteer for Relay for Life as a team captain. I relay for my mom who passed away March 2007 from her second time with cancer. I have a wonderful husband and two amazing kids (boy and girl)! I recently started doing crafts, such as, sewing my daughters bedding, making tutus and hairbows.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents converted after they had my brother. They liked the idea of being families forever and not just here on Earth. I am the first person in my family to have been born and raised a Mormon. Being a Mormon just makes sense! There's no end to one story (hence the Book of Mormon). Families are meant to be together forever! The church brings so much joy into my life. For instance, my mother passed away in 2007 and with the knowledge I've gained from being a Mormon, I know I will see and live with her again someday. :)

How I live my faith

I worked with our youth for 4 years. I loved working with the youth on service projects for the elderly. I love how the youth treated each other like family and were always willing to help others. I currently work with Cub Scouts as Cub Master. These boys are such a joy to work with. They are so full of energy and have so much fun learning all sorts of things like, riding a bike, playing marbles, and how to fold a flag. It's so important to take time with our youth and show them you care and love them.
