Hi I'm Chelsey

I'm a tree-loving, chemistry-doing, organization queen. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently married college student who is studying Physiology and Developmental Biology with minors in Chemistry and Music--sounds boring, I know, but I want to go to pharmacy school, which is cool! I love playing volleyball and tennis, blogging and blog-stalking, watching Psych, and of course spending the rest of my life studying! I was born in the lovely green state of Washington, and spent my youth living in the beautiful Northwest. I hope one day to move back there--there is nothing I love more than flying home and seeing the scenery make the dramatic change from brown to GREEN!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the most constant thing in my life that has brought me happiness. Every time I follow the principles of our church, I am happier and can see the blessings in my life. The best thing in my life-my family-will be with me forever because I am a member of His church.

How I live my faith

In my faith, I get to magnify my talents. My job on each Sunday is to play the piano for one of our meetings. I learned how to play the piano before first grade, and love this opportunity to practice my skills. I often feel closest to God through music, and enjoy sharing my talent with others through music.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are like special, dedicated holy churches where we perform what our church calls "ordinances." Through ordinances, we make special promises to God that help us become more like Him. One of the most important ordinances we perform in the temple is the sealing ordinance-through this we marry our spouse for eternity and lay the foundation for our family to be together forever.
