Hi I'm Connie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mother of three beautiful children. I teach piano lessons to about 20 students. I spend my days cleaning up messes, changing diapers, cooking meals, and doing laundry. I love being a mom but it gets overwhelming at times. But I love my kids more than anything, so it is worth it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and have attended church all my life. It is just something that has always been a part of my life. My own testimony didn't really start to develop until I started attending Seminary classes, where I was supposed to read the scriptures. I know that reading the scriptures is what brought me a testimony of the Gospel. I have had my ups and downs, but I have always come back to the scriptures. I know they are true.

How I live my faith

Right now I teach a Primary class (9-year-olds) and I love it. The kids are glad to be at church and curious about the scripture stories. This year we are studying the Old Testament. There are a lot of powerful stories in this book! I try to have scripture study at home with my kids, but it is hard and they always fight whenever we try. It has been a real struggle in our family. We have been better with having family prayer every night.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Connie
No one is required to do anything - it is a choice you make. Young men are asked by Church leaders to serve a full-time mission when they turn 19 years old. Young women may serve if they desire at the age of 21. Elderly couples may also serve missions together. Show more Show less
