Hi I'm Alie
I'm a freelance artist and graphic designer. I'm a mother who has experienced infant loss. I'm a Mormon.
My name is Alie and I love to laugh. I really do. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2010 with my BA in visual arts, emphasis in graphic design. I love a really good novel, bright colors and spending quality time in my kitchen … NOT doing the dishes. That’s my husband Tyler’s job. :)
Why I am a Mormon
There was never any doubt in my mind that the lifestyle of the members of the church was a good way to live, and I've always held strong to the standards set forth by the church. My personal testimony of Jesus Christ, however, slowly developed over the years due to key experiences that shaped my life. Most recently, my husband and I lost our second child as an infant. Throughout this experience my testimony has blossomed and strengthened with the knowledge that families are eternal. One of my favorite songs the church teaches you when you are young is called, "Families Can Be Together Forever". Believing in this simple truth has blessed my family immensely, as we know we are not only kindred here on earth, but in the heavens as well.
How I live my faith
My husband and I are very involved in church, and each Sunday we teach the 16- and 17-year olds about the scriptures. We find it incredibly rewarding to help inspire youth to live full, happy lifestyles that are based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
