Hi I'm Cris

A crazy, scatterbrained YouTube content creator who seems to dwell on the Internet. I also happen to be a Mormon.

About Me

Hello there! My name is Cris and I'm a creative person. I have a form of cerebral palsy called spastic diplegia. It doesn't keep me from doing what I love, which includes writing, music, and video blogging (aka, vlogging). I feel that Heavenly Father put me on this planet for a reason and I shouldn't let my disability alter that. I tend to be a bit of a fangirl. I've been a part of the LDS (Mormon) church since August 2010.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, technically, I'm a Mormon because someone holding the proper priesthood authority said some words and dunked me under water. :) In all seriousness, though, I STAYED Mormon because I developed a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel, the Book of Mormon and of modern day revelation. This testimony continues to grow the more I learn. It's the most important thing I have. I can't put a price on it and I never will.

How I live my faith

For me, faith is something I have to focus on daily. It's not easy. I have to read my scriptures, pray, and try to attend as many church meeting and activities as I can. If I stop going my faith tends to falter.

Are Mormons Christians?

The Mormon Church is formally known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In our case, Jesus Christ is the same Christ that is the central character of the New Testament, the Savior and Redeemer of mankind’s souls. We believe that Christ is Son of God. That seems like Christianity to me. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit as some call it, is one-third of the Godhead. Unlike Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, it is a just spirit and has no physical body. Being a spirit means that it can influence our daily lives. This would be impossible if it had a body. We believe that the Holy Ghost can lead us in the right direction and lead us away from wrong choices. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

First, you need to learn. It's not as simple as I want to be Mormon, therefore I am. You have get a desire to follow God's commandments and discuss the basic stuff with either the missionaries or congregational leaders. When you're prepared and ready, you can get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost (also called confirmation). AND HUZZAH, you a member! Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

The Law of Chastity is near and dear to my heart. It's something I've believed long before I was a Mormon. It means not having sexual relationships outside of legal marriage. Reproduction is important and sacred. Keeping it in marriage is better for children and the couple themselves. It is serious when broken but remember that you can always repent, be forgiven and find peace! Show more Show less
