Hi I'm Francys

I'm a Mom. A wife. Marathon runner. An aspiring photographer. Friend and a disciple of Christ...I'M A MORMON!

About Me

I'm the mother of four crazy and happy kids, whom I consider my miracles and each are a gift from God. I spend most of my days running (training for races) and chasing after kids. I'm also a Soccer Mom. All the kids play soccer, so I stay pretty busy during the Fall and Spring seasons. I consider myself to be a pathological picture taker, aspiring to become a professional photographer someday, so I take a lot of pictures. My family will vouch to that. I enjoy baking and making people smile. I believe that if you just smile to everyone, they will start smiling back. There's a fantastic feeling that comes with smiling. We should feel it so, all day! It makes the hard times more bearable. My best friend is my husband. I could not imagine going through this mortal life without him by my side. He is my inspiration and motivator. I look forward to spending an eternity with him. He is constantly showing love to everyone with his actions and words. I try to keep up, but it is a never ending road of trying to walk in his steps, which emmulates the Savior's.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Catholic home. At the age of 10, missionaries came knocking on our door & introduced us to the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. My parents listened to the discussions & accepted to get baptized. I asked for more time to find out for myself if the things which they taught to us were all true & real. After much praying & reading, I felt with all of my being that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ as it was in the old days, that the things which were written in the Book of Mormon were all true & testified of Him, that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a True Prophet called of God to restore His Gospel back on the earth, & that God had a Plan & a Purpose for me (us) on this earth. I've made many great decisions in my life, but deciding to get baptized was one of my best decisions ever. Having the Fulness of the Gospel has helped me live a better happier life. I know that I am a Child of God, I know that Heavenly Father Loves me, I know where I came from, what I'm doing here, & where I’m going after this earthly life. There's purpose in my life, there's a reason as to why I am here. I know I also chose to follow the Savior; my being on this earth & having a body is evidence of that. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints has been a source of joy in my life. It has provided me with much guidance in this troubled & confusing world. I have been able to receive answers to my many concerns, confusions & prayers. I've been comforted & have found peace in knowing that Christ is my Savior & my Redeemer. That He made it possible for me to return to Him & Heavenly Father, someday, through His atoning sacrifice. I've been inspired to do many good things in my life & have received many blessing by following such inspirations. Choosing to follow the Savior & become a member of His Church has been one of the most inspired things I've ever done.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my daily actions. What I do, what I say, what I read, listen to and think testifies of my beliefs. I'm a Disciple of Christ. I'm His follower. Christ is the very center of my life thus showing my faith. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect (He is) and I have my weaknesses, but by living my faith, knowing that Christ made it possible for me to repent and be forgiven, and then continue striving to follow Him, makes my life more meaningful and worth striving for.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Having faith in Jesus Christ & striving to pattern our lives after His teachings, creates a desire & gives strength to over power the influences of the adversary who tries to destroy our families/marriages. Having faith in God & in each other in a marriage creates trust, confidence, brings comfort, love, joy & peace. Having faith in Jesus Christ in a family or in any type of relationship provides a well rounded sense of belonging, of love, as well as the mentioned things above for marriages. Having a Christ-centered life involves studying the life of the Savior in every aspect of our lives; thru the study of the scriptures & other inspired books. Because to Know Him is to Love Him, which in return fills you with Charity: "The Pure Love of Christ." I can also show my faith in Jesus Christ thru my actions, influencing the lives of all those whom I come in contact with, by example. One way is thru service. Selfless Service, never expecting anything in return. Another way is by striving to be Christ-like. He is our Examplar. We must have trust in Him, believe in Him & do our very best to be like Him. We're not expected to be Perfect, but I know that we can be Perfected in Christ. It motivates me to Be better & Do better. Thus, I become a Better wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, etc. This influences my life and the relatiosnships I have with those around me. We are of Divine nature. We are children of a Heavenly Father who loves us...why not treat each other as such?! Show more Show less
