Hi I'm Malvin.Kay

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old and I am a returned missionary. I was born with albinism, a condition which has helped me to learn a lot about the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ and what it means to me. I have served in various capacities in the church and I am currently serving as The district executive secretary in the Mutare Zimbabwe district of the church. I am a fun loving and outgoing person. As a person living with albinism, I have helped in the establishment of a Non Governmenta Organization for people living with this condition which is registered as Manicaland Albino Association. I am currently working as a Co-coordinator for this organization. I believe in the education of the mind. Currently, Im a sociology and anthropology student at Africa University in Mutare Zimbabwe.

Why I am a Mormon

The restored gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to put all things in perspective. I am grateful for the Plan of Salvation which has helped me to get an insight of where I came from and why my life is the way that it is and also of what is expected of me in my life. I have prayed countless times for a renewal of the confirmation I got as a 7 year old child of the truthfulness of the gospel and these prayers have been answered by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Book Of Mormon has played a pivotal role in my life as from it, the Heavens have communicated their love for me and a constant study from it has helped me to feel an overwhelming peace in my life. I testify that this is the Lord's church and all its teachings are true. The Book Of Mormon is truly Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am the Executive Secretary for the church in my district and as such I get to interact a lot with many members of the church in my area. I strive ensure that my conduct is in harmony with the teachings of the Savior Jesus Christ wherever I may be. As a Returned Missionary, I have observed that the youth look up to me as a source of inspiration and I strive to make it a point to build a desire in them to serve those around them. I am also striving to share the Gospel with the rest of my family members since I am a pioneer of the Gospel in my family. I have introduced my family members to the missionaries hence I strive to be a good example to them.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Malvin.Kay
Personally, I do not just believe that there is a prophet in our day- I know without any doubt, I know just the same way that I know my left hand from my right one that we do have a living prophet, called of God by prophecy, who has had hands laid upon his head to recive all the keys of administering the Gospel on the face of the earth and of governing Christ's church on the earth. I know of this simply because I have , on countless occasions prayed about this, I have invited many to pray about it and their testimonies have strengthened mine. Show more Show less
