Hi I'm Jake

I'm from So. California. I'm a college student and National Guard soldier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a simple guy from So. California. I love languages, traveling, sports, and the outdoors. I am going to college and am enlisted in the Utah National Guard.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of all members of the LDS Church. When I grew old enough to understand things for myself and see the world a bit, I realized how important Christ was in my life and that this was truly His Church. I love the gospel and what it teaches me. I love the fact that God continues to reveal the truth through the Spirit as well as living prophets and scripture. The most important thing about the gospel to me is that it allows us to love others more and grow closer to our family. I know that Jesus Christ it our Savior. I know that God loves me.

How I live my faith

I attend Church on a weekly basis and sing in the choir. I try to read the scriptures and pray daily and continue to better myself.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, not all Mormons are required to serve missions. However, God does wish that we will share the good that we have learned with others or at least serve them. Missions are excellent opportunities to serve and show love to other people outside of your own community. All youth and even older couples are encouraged, but not required to go. Show more Show less
