Hi I'm Melonie

I grew up in Utah. I love art. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a stay-at-home mom of 3. I am an artist and an emotional release facilitator. I spend most of my time homeschooling my kids and I really enjoy watching them grow! What I most look forward to is date nights with my hubby!

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know, for myself, that Joseph Smith Jr. was a prophet and he saw God, our father, and his son, Jesus Christ. This is their church. I know the Book of Mormon to be the truest book on the Earth and I know, through personal experiment, that our prayers are answered. We are blessed to have a prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, who was called of God to be a watchman and a safeguard for us. I know that if we listen and obey the words of God, through him and through the Book of Mormon, we will one day be united with that loving Father who waits eagerly, with open arms, to receive us home!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith with exactness. I believe that it is true and, if so, it is worth every bit of effort I give it. If there were one thing I could cause you to understand more fully it would be how incredibly much our Father in Heaven loves us! Everything he does, his whole work and glory, is for our happiness. Our Heavenly Father sent his son, Jesus Christ, to live for us, die for us and then conquer both spiritual and physical death so we can do the same! If we are aware, we will notice that each new day is full of wonderful expressions of love from God. This knowledge catapults me into a life of dedication. There is nothing more motivating than love! I enjoy life because I enjoy God's love for me. My ability to reciave his love is added upon by following his word. His commandments have truely brought me joy!

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

God is a loving Father. What father wouldn't want to give their child the world if they could? Our Father wants more than anything to receive us back into his presence. By grace, he has allowed his son, Jesus Christ, to satisfy the demands of justice for us to make salvation possible. Grace is reserved for those that are sincere and humble; for those that have done all in their power to do. Jesus only paid the debt that we could not pay ourselves. Our part is still due.
