Hi I'm William Turner

I love to learn about Truth and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Oregon and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1978. I love the Gospel. I have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. I love to attend the temple, study natural health, play tennis, and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a little boy my grandmother told mom to make sure she took my sister and me to church. We went to a Methodist church and I learned and loved the bible stories. I learned about Jesus Christ. I continued going to church with friends in middle school when my family stopped going. In high school I stopped going and forgot about the Gospel. Then when I was 23 I found I was not happy. I was not living the Gospel. I started praying and reading the Bible and stopped doing the things I shouldn't. I was starting to be happy. I told Heavenly Father I would like to study with other people. My roommate told me about the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. He said there were apostles on the earth again and that the Lord's church was restored. I felt the Spirit very strong as he was speaking to me. I found out that he was baptised in the church several years earlier but was inactive. I was excited and found the nearest ward. We attended the following Sunday and I met the missionaries and began the discussions. I have been amazed at what I have learned and how blessed my life has been ever since. I love the Lord and his restored church.

How I live my faith

I love the Sabbath Day when I can rest from my work and cares and go to the Lord's house and bask in the Spirit. I continually learn more about Heavenly Father, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I keep working on becoming a better son by repenting and serving. Studying the Book of Mormon each morning helps me keep on track. I am currently working my way through the Old Testament. Visiting families and sharing Gospel messages is another way to serve. I have Family Home Evening each Monday with the singles in my ward. I watch conference talks of the prophet and apostles. I also serve in the temple each week.
