Hi I'm Joshua Mabey

I am a college student and a returned missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college and am working part time. I enjoy doing anything outdoors and I love music. I recently returned from a two year mission in Mexico City and loved every bit about it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it is what brings me happiness. Through prayer and many experiences I have come to know with all of my heart that this is God's true church. He again has men on the earth, just as he did in the Bible, that he has chosen to lead and to guide us. As I have followed their inspired counsel I have seen the blessing fulfilled in my life. I have also come to know my Savior Jesus Christ personally and I know that he is my Savior and that he really payed for my sins, giving me the opportunity to cleanse myself from all sin, be free, and someday live with him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve those around me. I enjoying serving people any opportunity that I can because I know that I am making them happy and feel the Savior's love. I also really enjoy learning. As I learn I feel like I get closer to my Savior and I learn more about him. I feel that I am worshipping him as I learn more about him and strive to understand what I am being taught. I am a Sunday School teacher and I have the opportunity to share what I have learned about the gospel with others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Joshua Mabey
We believe that God, just as he did in the Bible, chooses special people, called prophets, to be his spokesperson on the earth and lead and guide us today. This person is named Thomas S. Monson and he is the prophet who was chosen by God to lead us in our times. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Joshua Mabey
As Mormons we believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and the Son of God. He came to this world to teach us the way and how to live so that we could someday live with God. He payed the price of, and died for, all of our sins so that we can be forgiven of our mistakes. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Joshua Mabey
You can know that Mormonism is true through prayer. God has given us prayer as a form of communication with him so he can lead and guide us here on earth. In prayer, we can ask God if Mormonism is true and he will answer our prayers because he loves us and he wants the best for us. If it is true we will feel good about it and will feel the love of God. If you are wondering about Mormonism and if it is true, kneel down now and ask God in faith and you will receive an answer. Show more Show less
