Hi I'm Kim

I'm from Wyoming. I'm a homemaker and love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California, New York and Wyoming. I went to the University of Wyoming. My husband and I have three daughters and eight grandchildren. We've served and continue to serve in many callings. Currently, my husband is the branch president of the Young Single Adult branch. I teach the temple preparation class. I love to knit, cook, garden, and read. We have been very blessed in our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church as a teenager. All of my friends were LDS and it seemed like a good thing to do. However, I had always known that there was a God, that He listened to me when I talked with Him, that He loved me. Later, as I began my family, I learned to be a mother from the other sisters in Relief Society. My testimony grew from serving in callings. My husband joined the church and we went to the temple with our children. I am a Mormon because this is the only true church, because I know Jesus is the Christ, because I know God lives and loves me, because I know we have a prophet on the earth, and because of the joy I have knowing I am part of an eternal family.

How I live my faith

First, my home reflects my belief in our Savior Jesus Christ - we have pictures of the Savior in nearly every room. Next, I try to study the scriptures every day to gain knowledge of the Savior and to be taught by the Spirit. I serve in the church. I teach a class to prepare people to go to the temple. I've been a Primary teacher and taught children from age 3-11. I've been a Primary leader to make sure the children are taught the doctrines of the church. I've been a leader of the young women, ages 12-18, in the church. I've served with the women in the church in Relief Society -the largest women's organization in the world. I've taught Sunday School. In each of these callings, my testimony and knowledge has grown. I taught my daughters, and am now teaching my grandchildren about Jesus Christ. I'm not where I know I can be, but the Spirit has helped me every step of the way.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

The glories of creation testify every day to me that there is a God and that He is over all things. I have had many prayers, both for me and my family, answered in miraculous ways. I have prayed to know if there was a God, and I know - without a single doubt - that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us and wants us to return to him. I know that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ, that atoned for my sins and the sins of all because of His great love for us and obedience to Heavenly Father. I know that the Holy Ghost testifies to our hearts and minds of these things. Show more Show less
