Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Student, a designer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, changing majors from Fashion, to Nursing. I love walking outside on nice slightly chilly days. My favorite color is Pink and I love to be around people.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for about 1.5 years now. :) I am deeply in love with this gospel and the peace and love it has brought into my life. It hasn't always been an easy road, but I know that if anything, I am never alone and my heavenly Father is always there to love and care for me. He sent people into my life to bring this church to me when I needed it most. Without this gospel I would not be the person I am today. I wouldn't be as happy, I wouldn't be making wise decisions, and I wouldn't know where my life was leading. This church is 100% my life and love.

How I live my faith

I am currently called to something called the Fellowshipping Committee, I adore it! I live my faith not only through this calling, but through my everyday activities. There are things I choose not to participate in because I want to stay closer to my savior and to continue to grow and become like Him. I do my best to provide service and a helping hand. I pray for love and support for others in my life as they need it also.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Jessica
This is not something that is as easy as it sounds. Pornography is extremely harmful to our bodies, even though its just simply "a movie". To stop the spread of it, we simply need to avoid it! It cannot spread if nobody is watching it. It stirs up emotions that we are taught should ONLY become awakened purposefully between a wedded man and woman. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Jessica
This seems like a crazy thing to many people. This is not something out of Gods thought process though. Think about it. Would the God we all know let someone die and NEVER have the chance to return to him again? We believe that answer is no. We preform baptisms for the dead by proxy. Meaning that we ourselves are baptized in THEIR name. No dead bodies dug up, etc. We also believe that these people we are doing the work for, can choose once its done to accept it or reject it. It is not forced, its free will. All we want is for them to have the choice. We want all to be able to return to our make God and our brother Jesus Christ. This is just simply giving them the chance they didn't receive here on earth today. Show more Show less
