Hi I'm Dorienne

I'm a mother of four. I'm a Canadian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my wonderful husband for seven years now. Together we have four young children. When I have free time I like to bake, sew, catch up on my blog and decorate cakes. I have a diploma in professional cooking and one day when my children are older, I'd like to return back to school and earn a nursing degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel very blessed to have been born and raised in the church. But it wasn't until I was in my 20's that I took the time to really study it out for myself. It was at this time that I developed my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for His teachings and the example He has given me to live my life by. I know that He is my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored the gospel in these latter days and I know that President Monson leads and directs our church today.

How I live my faith

I attend my Sunday church meetings every week. I am also assigned to work with the girls from ages 8-11. We follow a program called Faith in God where we help teach the girls to develop talents, learn and live the gospel and serve others.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Dorienne
When I talk about the church with my friends who are not of our faith, I explain that a ward is a congregation. Each ward is made up a geographical area. There will be several wards in one stake. A branch is like a ward, only smaller. Show more Show less
