Hi I'm Andre

I stay pretty busy with college but look for ways to have fun and make more of my life. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the middle child and have two siblings. I've moved around a lot in my life and have lived in places such as Bolivia, Mexico, Colorado, and Virginia. I'm currently attending BYU and studying applied mathematics. I love the typical college-age things like the outdoors, sports, music, and hanging out with friends. I served a two year mission in the Ventura California area and count that service as one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon, but that's not the reason I've stayed Mormon. Everyone is looking for a way to be happy in life, but there are many conflicting messages out there about how to do it. Following the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought me true and lasting happiness. Also, many people seek direction in their lives. This Gospel has helped me find direction in my life and know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants me to be happy and to return with honor to live with Him again someday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ. He always looked out for those around Him, and I try to do the same. Whether it's opening the door for someone, helping someone carry something heavy, or just saying a friendly "hello", I know that Jesus would want me to help other people by reaching out in these small ways.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Bible is the word of God given to us through His prophets who lived mostly in the Middle East. As a show of love for all of His people, God also had prophets in the Americas who preached to the people there. These prophets' prophecies and directions were recorded in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon has been brought back in these days to complement the Bible to testify of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Show more Show less
