Hi I'm Allison

I'm a wife, a mother, a runner, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother to 4 beautiful children. I enjoy running, reading, sewing, and spending time with my family. I don't like cleaning bathrooms or unloading the dishwasher. I love my Savior and am so grateful to know of our Heavenly Father's plan for us in this life. That knowledge gives me hope and strength to face the ups and downs of this earthly life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught the principles of the gospel from a young age. I am an active member of the church today because I have seen and felt the truthfullness of those beliefs and principles in action at many different points in my life. I have felt my Heavenly Father's emense love for me at very difficult times in my life, particularly when we lost our youngest daughter. I have felt the peace and assurance that families truly are an eternal unit. I can't imagine navigating through this life without my knowledge of this gospel and the great love my Heavenly Father & Savior have for me as an individual. As a runner I have learned that there are times when I hit a wall and want to quit, but know that I must dig deep inside to find the strength to keep running if I want to get back home or reach my goals. Life is the same way, there are ups and downs and it is my faith and understanding of this gospel that give me the strength to continue through the hard times.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily experience which I do by striving to adhere to what my father calls the "Daily Basics" -- daily scripture study, daily prayer, daily striving to have the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life, & daily trying to draw closer to the Savior. I am far from perfect, but am daily trying to do my best to live my faith and teach my children to do the same.
