Hi I'm Gilbert Rowley

I have an amazing wife. We have one wonderful son. I Love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southeastern Utah. I served a mission in Belo Horizonte Brasil. My wife and I were married in the Manti Temple. We have one wonderful son whom we love dearly. We live in Utah and we love it here. I graduated from Utah State in May of this year. I love fly fishing, fly tying, and the outdoors. I currently work as a fly fishing guide and I love my job. I also love sports and playing the guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith, and was truly converted as I prepared to serve my mission. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has all the answers I need. I am comforted knowing that I belong to the one and only true gospel of Jesus Christ. We are guided by a living Prophet, President Monson, and God continues to bless us, his children. I love my Savior and his gospel.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the youth in our ward every other Sunday. It is a great calling. I am also a home teacher which allows me to visit a few of the wonderful families of our ward each month.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Gilbert Rowley
The best way I can explain the atonement of Jesus Christ is by saying that after we have tried our best to do everything we can to be clean before God, we still fall short. It is then that the atonement of Jesus Christ kicks in and cleanses us so we are able to return and live in heaven. Jesus atoned for all of us by giving his life for us. Without his death and resurrection we would be lost forever. He understood this concept and knew that it was for all of us that he was giving his life. It is never too late to change and follow him, no matter how horrible we think we may be. Our Savior is always waiting and willing to help us repent of our sins and return to him. I am so grateful for his love and willingness to give everything for us his brothers and sisters. Show more Show less
