Hi I'm Cornelius

I am the token red-head in my group of friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 2nd-year Podiatry student. I was recently married to the girl I love. When I am not studying (which is not very often these days), I like to train for triathlons, play golf, tennis, and basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. With that said, I can always remember believing what I was taught to be true. In middle school, I found myself defending my faith more and more. So, I decided to find out for sure, answer the Lord's challenge, and ask Him if these things were true. I still remember it like it was this morning. I was just a little 12 year old boy who wanted to know if what he had been taught was true. I knelt next to my bed and asked God if the Book of Mormon was true and if His church was the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An overwhelming feeling came over me - a feeling of love, warmth, confidence, and peace - that made me know that the Lord loved me and that the answers to my questions were a resounding YES! My testimony and faith have been strengthened through different experiences over the years, but the experience I can always go back to was when I asked the Lord directly and He told me directly.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, first and foremost, by loving and serving my wife and by doing my best to strengthen our eternal family. I also serve as a Sunday School teacher for a group of youth with whom I discuss the doctrines of the scriptures and testify of the love of the Savior for them.

Are Mormons Christians?

Most certainly. I have faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is my one and only Redeemer. He paid for my sins - giving me the opportunity to repent and be forgiven and become clean. He is the only one who could have done that for me...and He did it! He is my reason for hope. It is because of Him that I can love and be happy. I look forward to the day when I can finally meet Him and through tear-filled eyes thank Him for loving me enough to save me. Show more Show less
