Hi I'm Anthony

I am an accountant, a husband, and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my university studies, receiving a master's degree in accounting. Currently, I am working for a large accounting firm doing audit work. Hobbies that I enjoy include running, basketball, biking, reading, and playing board games. My greatest loves in life are my wife and newborn daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon, so I grew up attending church with them. As a teenager, I began to learn for myself that what my parents taught me and what I learned in church benefited my life. I discovered that as I followed the teachings of the prophets of God that I was happy. The scripture: "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself" (John 7:17) rang true to me. I came to know that by living the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that this church is true. I am blessed everyday that I try my hardest to follow the Lord's commandments with peace, satisfaction, and happiness. Now that I have a family of my own, I am grateful that I have an eternal perspective with which to raise and teach my daughter. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me this perspective. It gives me an assurance that my wife and I will be able to raise our daughter in a world with ever-changing values.

How I live my faith

As a Latter-day Saint, I am active in serving at church. I have served as a teacher at church and a secretary for a men's organization. Teaching has been a great experience as it helps me to learn and grow more about our Savior. It is very fulfilling to know that I can help others learn more about Christ as well when I teach.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

As a new father, I feel like I am just beginning to comprehend the importance of family. I was blessed to have a wonderful family growing up with parents who taught me morals and standards that have helped prepare me to become a responsible citizen, a hard-working and honest employee, and a good husband and father. I hope to be able to pass on these important morals and standards to my daughter and for her to do the same with her future children. Not only does family provide an environment where my wife and I can teach our children, it also is the source of the greatest joys in my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me the knowledge that my most cherished relationships here on earth--with my family--can last beyond the grave. Through the plan that our loving Heavenly Father has prepared, I can be with my family (both the one I grew up in and my own now) forever. Family is important to me because it brings the greatest, most enduring joy. Show more Show less
