Hi I'm Jessica

I am a wife and soon to be mother. I love to learn new things and have adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying Family and Consumer Science education. I hope to be a teacher ("home economics") someday. I love history, music, and expressing myself through writing. I love social gatherings and am known to throw a party or two every year. I love to experience new things and find a new adventure extremely exciting. My family is the most important thing in my world and it will soon expand to include a little one!

Why I am a Mormon

There is a peace of mind and soul knowing what the Gospel teaches. In this crazy world where the values and ideals of society shift on a daily basis it is good to have such a firm and steadfast structure to put your faith. It provides a secure base to live and plan your life. I know that the Gospel was restored for us today. What a wonderful thing to know that I am not alone in this world. My Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ are aware of me, my choices, and my dreams and ambitions. They know and care about me as an individual. I know this because I have felt their warm love engulf me in the darkest hours of my life. Jesus Christ gives us an example to follow. I have tried to live the way He taught and, while I am far from perfect, His example is perfect enough to improve my life as I strive to follow Him. Why not put my faith into someone who does nothing but love me and put my best interest first?

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every week. I read from the Standard Works myself, and with my husband every day. I have made friends through visiting women in my ward getting to know them and being aware of their situations and their needs. I strive to serve my husband, and those I see in need to my best abilities. I am studying to be a better wife and mother, and hope to serve my community through teaching someday.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jessica
We believe that the life we live here on Earth is just a small portion of eternity. We believe that the families we know and love here can continue on into eternity should we strive to live the best we can. I personally believe that I shall be with my husband forever and nothing comforts me more than knowing that. Show more Show less
