Hi I'm Michelle

I have recently met my eternal companion and become an "ARMY wife!" I am also a Cosmetologist. And I Love being a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was also raised an "ARMY Brat!" My Daddy serves valiantly in the US Army. Under military orders my family moved just about every three years. Moving that often was difficult for me as a child, but my family was strong and my brothers were my best friends. And the stability of the church made every transition bareable!I have learned that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church and it is the same every place I have ever been. I attended Cosmetology school and I have been a licensed professional for almost two years! I love doing hair and I enjoy the opportunity I have for missionary experiences at work! I am now married to a man who is a soldier in the US Army! He is the greatest gift that Heavenly Father could have ever given me! The missionaries introduced me to Matthew after church one Sunday while he was taking missionary lessons. He and I fell into love at first sight; and a little voice told me that he was going to one day be my husband. Soon after he was baptized, my husband was deployed to Afghanistan. Our bishop married us civily during Matthew's R&R leave! We are preparing ourselves to be sealed in the Nauvoo temple on our one year anniversary! I enjoy everything outdoors! I especially enjoy boating and my favorite hobby is competitive waterskiing! I also love spending time with my two German Shepherds. If I can round up spare time, I like to spend it decorating my home!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I have a strong Mormon family that has taught me many wonderful things, and has prepared me to achieve eternal happiness. And I am a Mormon because that is what I want to be. Because of my faith and knowledge in the gospel I know that I can live with my husband and our family for all of time and eternity. (I believe that is the most wonderful thing I could ever understand)! Heavenly Father has created a beautiful plan of salvation for us, and because I am a Mormon, I know all about it! I know that Heavenly Father has put prophets on this earth to love, guide, and direct us. I truly believe that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's mouthpiece. I am eternally grateful for Joseph Smith and his tremendous faith and courage. I admire the strength contained inside the pioneers, who sufferd so much more than I can comprehend, so that I could be a member of Chritst's true church in the present day. I strive to live my life in a way that pleases my Heavenly Father; but I make my fair share of mistakes. Therefore, I am grateful for the understanding I have of the atonement. Jesus Christ is ideed my personal savior. I know that Christ lived, suffered, and died for me; so that I can live in my Heavenly Father's presence again! I know that every person on this earth is my heavenly brother or sister. It is my duty to love and serve them. And I find great happiness in doing so. I am the happpiest when I am living righteously and keeping the commandments. My favorite thing about being Mormon is the way I feel when I am surrouonded by other members of the church. The spirit is always so strong. I know that they love me and support me just as much as I do them.

How I live my faith

I always strive to live my life in a way that pleases Heavenly Father. I keep the commandments, I follow the word of wisdom, I read my scriptures daily, and I pray often, and I enjoy serving others. When I choose to do the right, I am happy and the Lord blesses me! I often feel the negativity of satan pushig me to go astray; it is at times like those I tell myself to pray and stay on the straight and narrow path of righteousness. My knowledge of the gospel has always been something that I have protected and been very cautious about sharing because I do not like to be put down about my beliefs. Becoming a hairdresser has changed that! I have numerous chances each workday to share a little something about what I know. And I love sharing the gospel! It is something that everyone must know and understand. I believe it is the responsibility of those who already know to share it with others. Therefore, I talk about what I believe as often as I can! My responsibility at church is to oversee and assist the primary age children's education program. It is a wonderful calling! I love the little children, I enjoy watching them learn and grow. I believe that the primary children are our future, the most important part of the church. We need to teach them all that we can, and we need to be excellent examples for them to observe. I truly enjoy fellowshipping with the members! My home teacher's are a great blessing for me. And I have the opportunity to visit teach three wonderful sisters. I know that I am blessed to know the things that I do: the very same truths that allow me to live my life in a way that will one day earn me a spot in the highest glory of heaven!
