Hi I'm Nikki

I run a regional family magazine. I'm a married mother of 2 daughters, whom I home school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married since 2000 to my husband and we have two beautiful daughters. I work from home as a regional magazine editor. I also home school my two daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes perfect sense to me. It answers the most important questions mankind has faced from the beginning of time. Feeling the guidance of a loving Heavenly Father and understanding His son's sacrifice for me helps me see trials in the right perspective, and helps me be the best wife, mother, sister, friend, and citizen I can be.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the teens in our church congregation for several years. Along with several other leaders, I help coordinate weekly activities, Sunday lessons and other large activities for youth in our congregation.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Nikki
The way we treat our bodies is an outward expression of our devotion to God. Keeping our minds and bodies free from addictions and harmful habits ensures that we are in control of our bodies and accountable for our actions. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Nikki
In 1820, a simple farm boy living in upstate New York named Joseph Smith, Jr. had serious questions about God's purposes for his children. He'd been raised Christian and wanted to know which of the many Christian congregations he should join. It was a time of great spiritual confusion in early America, and many sects laid claim to truth. Joseph knew, of course, that they couldn't all be true. Inspired by the verse of James 1:5 in the Bible, he went one day to a private area in the woods to pray to his Father in Heaven to know which of the churches he should join. In answer to his prayer, Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith and told him, among other things, not to join any of the churches. It was the beginning of Joseph's mission to restore Jesus Christ's true church to the earth. Show more Show less
