Hi I'm Lori

I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, and Interior Designer. I love the outdoors, my faith, family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married with five children, all of whom are married to beautiful, loving, talented spouses. Together we have been blessed with 16 grandchildren. I am an interior designer with a focus on universal design. I love every aspect of making a home a beautiful and functional place to live. I balance my time with work, family, friends and serving in our church. I like to play volleyball, tennis, water-ski, hike, camp, read and sew.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and grew up learning about Jesus Christ and the plan of salvaltion. We went to church each week, had fun vacations together, and learned the value of hard work. My parents lived the life they were teaching us about. When I was a teenager I had questions about what life was all about, wondered where I fit in the big picture and if I really believed what my parents taught me. I started paying attention to the choices I was making and noticed the happiness that came when I was obedient to God's commandments. I am a very curious person and have questions all the time, so after constant research and prayer over many years, I have received answers that confirm my belief in God, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. They know me and love me and guide me. I believe in personal revelation and revelation through God to his prophets on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Christ on a daily basis. I keep my body healthy through daily exercise, good food, abstaining from anything that is addicting and I seek the good things in life that will bring lasting happiness. I serve with my husband in our church as a ward missionary. It brings me great joy to share the happiness I have found in the gospel of Jesus Christ to others and see it bless their lives. I turn quickly away from degrading music, movies, pictures, and stand up for my beliefs in my community and at school.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Lori
We worship God the Father, and Jesus Christ and realize Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He brought clarity to the religious confusion that was happening in his day. He restored gospel truths that had been taken from the earth after Christ and his apostles died. We now have all the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today because he received modern day revelation and stood up to persecution because he was a man of integrity and strength and could not deny what he saw, heard and felt. His life was a great example of desire to know what was right, the right to personal revelation, and following divine guidance despite persecution. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Lori
We believe in the Bible becaue it is the word of God and a record of his people in ancient times. The prophets spoke to the people then and it was recorded for all of us to benefit from. There are great lessons to be learned from history and eternal truths found in the Bible that will teach us about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
