Hi I'm Michael
I am a family man. I married my college sweetheart, whom I met shortly after returning from a Church Mission to Mexico. I enjoy spending time with my children and seeing them grow. I spend much of my free time leading boys and men in the Boy Scouting program, and appreciate the difference this program makes in helping boys grow into men of faith and action.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into the Church. Yet, I have found that we all must determine our own path in life. My path allowed me many opportunities to feel the quiet whisperings and promptings of the Lord, confirming to me the correct principles I have been taught. Though life may bring us struggles and difficulties, I have found that I am most happy when I follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and apply the teachings of his prophets to my own life.
What is hope and what do you hope for?
Hope is the calm assurance deep in your heart and mind that you are right with the world, your fellow man and your creator. My greatest hope is in my Savior Jesus Christ and in his promises of salvation and eternal life.
How I live my faith
Within the Church I work with several other men to oversee and provide for the needs of Young Men in a large geographical area, called a Stake. Together with the Adult leaders over our Young Women, we organize dances, spiritual activities, trips, camps, fireside chats and conferences which provide opportunities for our youth to interact and grow in an environment which meets the standards we uphold. I am constantly amazed at the strength, quality and goodness of the youth of the Church, and have grown much from my interaction with them.
