Hi I'm Chris Rohleder

I love fishing, the outdoors, and music and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Growing up in a small farming community has given me the opportunity to grow up learning to love the outdoors. My favorite thing to do is fish, I don't know how to fly fish very well but any kind of fishing is what I love. I love camping and hiking and I have done all of the above quite often. I play the guitar and know how to play the harmonica, banjo, and viola. I love music. All sorts of music it just depends on if I like the song or not. When I got out of high school I began college and trade school at Utah State University and Bridgerland Applied Technology College. I was working on becoming a welder and then I got a job working for Autoliv out to Promontory being a quality control technician. I decided to go on a mission and will now be serving in the Manchester, New Hampshire mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been involved with the church as I grew up in it (obviously living in Utah). I have many good friends and family in the church although may not have been as close to the gospel as a should have as I got older and into my teenage years. I had a large group of friends from school who were non-members and I was starting to drift away in my heart from the church through their influence. What made me realize my mistake in moving away from the church in my heart was when I went on a Mormon pioneer trek in the middle of Wyoming at Martin's Cove with the youth from my stake. during this I felt the spirit so strong that i never wanted to lose that feeling again so I am now going on a mission. I know that the feeling of the spirit is real and that God does live and blesses us, and I know through faith and a desire to know we can all have that spirit which is so strong and will bless our lives.

How I live my faith

As of right now I am serving a mission in the New Hampshire, Manchester mission, doing my best to spread the gospel by opening my mouth and trying to tell everyone I meet about it. When I get back I plan to continue being strong in the faith and participate in local activities, be the best example that I can, in attitude and and behavior, and I will always remember the blessings that my Heavenly Father has given me and will do my very best to make good my part as being a child of God.
