Hi I'm Dianne

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and a cookie baker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a small farming community that had strong Christian values. The two dominant religions were Catholic and Mormon. I am the ninth child in a family of 10 children. We worked together, played together, and worshipped together. The strength I recieved from my upbringing helped to shape who I am today. Today I am a wife to a wonderful man, a mother to 5 children and a grandmother to 9 children. My faith and family are key to who I am. I enjoy baking cookies and sharing them with others. I find as I get older it is never too late to learn new things. I am taking piano lessons, learning to sew blankets, work on the computer and read challenging books. I love life and the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a month after my 8th birthday. In my heart I knew it was the right thing to do. As I have grown to adulthood those feelings of "rightness" grows stronger and stronger as I learn more and more. I sometimes question myself why I believe what I believe. Is there any other way? Could I be wrong? Then in my heart and mind I hear the answer, "NO, YOU ARE NOT WRONG!" Then I listen to lessons, read, pray and ponder more of the gospel principles. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know he is my Savior. I have learned to pray to my Father in Heaven for answers to lifes challenges and He has answered me.

How I live my faith

Each morning when I get up, I begin my day by immersing myself in the scriptures. I find when I do this my day just seems to be upright. I find this my personal devotional time. It is by doing this that helps put my mind to recieve personal inspiration to do the will of the Lord during the day. Then I try to do what I am impressed upon to do. Most of the time it involves being there for my family. Sometimes it is doing service to others, and other times it is on doing my church callings.
