Hi I'm Wade

I'm an entrepreneur, a baseball fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old, recently finished a CS degree at BYU, and live in Provo, UT . I love to learn, play sports, and spend time with family and friends. My parents are both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was taught since I was young to pray daily, study scriptures, and rely on God. I am an avid sports fan. I love to golf and play baseball. Some of my most memorable moments are with my family near or on a baseball diamond. My dad was my baseball coach, and along with teaching me to be a better baseball player, he is a major role model of mine. I served a mission for the church in Tacoma, Washington. I love the northwest scenery and the people. My heart, might, mind and strength was invested in meeting people and teaching them about the principles of the gospel that have helped me in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was so fortunate to be raised in living principles of the gospel. My parents were a big part of my conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Frequently, they shared with me how Christ and his teachings have helped them throughout their lives. When I was eleven years old my dad challenged me to read the scriptures everyday. I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon everyday since I was that age. These ancient scriptures are the foundation of my faith. I have learned principles of charity, service, love, sacrifice, obedience, faith, prayer, repentance, and the importance of covenants as I have studied ancient texts of disciples of Christ who lived their lives according to these principles. My heroes are Nephi, Moroni, Paul, Joshua, and Ammon. I am a Mormon because I have tested and proven the test that the Lord has laid out. I have prayed in faith to know the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I have received thousands spiritual confirmations that it is true. I have seen the effects of the restored gospel in the lives of my family and friends. I have prayed when I struggled in life and I have felt the redeeming power of the Son of God who I have come to know while living the Restored Gospel.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the LDS church. I live my faith every day of the week. I believe in keeping the Sabbath day by putting off the cares of the world (work, school) on Sunday. I go to church and learn more about Jesus Christ. I study the word of God each day and spend time with my wife in prayer. I strive to learn as much about Jesus by study and by doing. The principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the most certain way to find happiness in this life. I have learned this by living the teachings of Jesus Christ for myself. I strive to make others' lives better. The most important metric in my life is the number of people that I can help have a better life. Faith, virtue, kindness, friendliness, love, and compassion are all characteristics of people that live the way Jesus taught. I strive to live that way each and every day. As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I worked hard for 16+ hours a day and seven days a week. My labor was similar to what ancient disciples did of old. I supported, lifted, loved and inspired as many people as I could find to listen to our message. I taught families, adults, and youth. I was a counsellor, a motivator, and a faith builder.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Wade
To learn more about the Mormon church scroll down to the link at the bottom which says "meet with missionaries." As a missionary I can tell you that we are taught how to teach you the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We teach a serious of four lessons designed to help you understand everything that the church is about. If you are in doubt what you should do, if you should find out more, I challenge you to put James to the test "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God." (James 1:5) If you "ask in faith, nothing wavering" the Lord will hear your cry and he will send one of us your way. Show more Show less
