Hi I'm Jim

I'm a carpenter . I'm a father . I'm a husband . I'm a recovering alcoholic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 4, I'm a husband who like most of us married up. I'm a carpenter. I'm a recovering alcoholic. I'm a Navy Veteran, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never felt like I belonged to any certain religion because I never felt comfortable in church. I always felt like the "subject of the sermon". I was invited to visit the church and from the first time walking in I felt like I was "welcome and a part of " and not just a visitor. I was taught how families treated each other by using the teachings of our lord Jesus Christ. I also met and made friends with members who were trying their best to be good examples of their faith.

How I live my faith

My wife and I strive to be good examples to our children by having daily scripture study and daily prayer, always including our children in both. We have followed the direction of our church leaders and we have reserved Monday nights to spend with our family and to hold family activities. We try our best, and because of life being busy (as we all know) we don't always succeed, but we try and always eat dinner together as a family. I serve as a leader for sunday school and help to organize our teaching asignments.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Jim
The Gospel of the Jesus Christ is all about family. All through out the Bible we are taught about families. It is filled with the struggles of families through out history and how they conquered their trials by applying the gospel in all aspects of their life. I have found that since my wife and I share the same Faith in Jesus Christ we also have Faith in each other and in the directions and goals that we want our relationship to progress in.
