Hi I'm Fred

I grew up in a small town. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. I've been married 28 yars and going. I work in a mining industry. One of my greatest desires is that my family have the blessings of the atonement of Jesus Christ for all time. I come from a family of 6 brothers and 1 sister. We lived simply, but happily. I enjoy tinkering in the garage and I like to think about inventing things.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Savior, Jesus Christ. I feel comfort and peace as I try to follow his teachings. I know that he had power over death and was resurrected, and because of this I can have confidence that I and everyone will be resurrected. This gives me the assurance that life continues after death, and that I can be with my family and loved ones forever. The gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me. I stand in awe of the goodness of God and the light, truth, spirit, love, joy and peace that I feel as I strive to keep the commandments. As a boy, I have felt drawn to light. The teachings of the gospel have a logical flow to me. And with this logical flow, there is a burning in my heart that speaks peace to me. To me, the gospel answers the complex questions of life.

How I live my faith

I love that there is no paid clergy. I have seen the blessings of service. I love being with the youth ages 12 - 18 in helping them better understand their identity. Service to me is how I can be God's hands. Be it cleaning an elderly persons yard, as simple as visiting someone once a month just to see how theey are doing or visiting an assisted living center and offering to sing or visit, I am impressed that the knowledge of Christ is what unites us. It says the Christ went about doing good. I feel at peace when I try to do the same. Helping others as a group is a source of great comfort and strength.
