Hi I'm Kailey

I love music. I am studying to become a teacher. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newlywed with lots of dreams! I am, also, a college student studying to become an elementary school teacher! I love to learn. I love to meet new people and share experiences, learn about what makes them 'tick.' I love to sing, especially in the car. Nothing better then singing on the top of your lungs! I love to laugh, and being with my family and friends always include laughter!

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught since I was young to choose the right. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has showed me a way to choose the right, and to be happy. Even though I have been in this church my entire life, my testimony grows daily. I know that this gospel is true. I know that there is purpose in this life. I know that the Book of Mormon is real, and full of real stories that benefit my life. If I keep the commandments and obey the words of the living prophets I will be blessed. I know that the Savior Jesus Christ suffered for me, and every other child of God. He has been through what I will go through. He knows me and I am important. Heavenly Father cares for each of his children-that is everyone on this earth! I know that my family can be together forever when we live worthy and are sealed inside the temple. I can always learn more, increase my faith, and strive to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

Recently married, my husband and I have the awesome opportunity to kneel next to each other and pray together. Every time we do this, I have to have faith that our prayers will be answered. Building good habits of scripture study, prayer, service and love helps my faith. Finding the real life connection from the scriptures to my life is also a true faith building experience. I live the best I can, knowing none of us are perfect, I know we can all be blessed for our good efforts. Repenting is very important for my faith, as long as we keep on repenting for our sins, we will be able to live eternally! Communication with my Heavenly Father is essential, it is like an 'on earth' relationship, we need to communicate so we know we are being heard. Just like my husband and I get to listen and learn from one another, I know my Heavenly Father loves me and listens and prompts me to be lead to good decisions, which builds my faith daily.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

It starts with prayer, letting yourself trust in a higher power. When you pray you can begin to communicate your knowledge, fear, frustrations, love, questions of the church to your Heavenly Father. He'll answer, maybe not with words, but a feeling of peace. You will know if you ask with a sincere heart. Show more Show less
