Hi I'm John

I am a happy husband, the father of two energetic boys, a law student, a runner, a cellist, and a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobbies used to be basketball, hiking, running, and playing the cello, now most of my time is spent in a library or classroom. However, I am happiest when I am sitting around the table with my wife and two young boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in a kind and loving God. I'm a Mormon because I believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to this world to help me do what I couldn't do for myself. I'm a Mormon because I believe God has called prophets throughout time, as recorded in the bible, and that He has followed that pattern today. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ enshrouds my perspective with peace in every aspect of my life. Whether it's a child with a major surgery, a decision about what law school to attend, or a stressful situation at work, I can look to the example of Christ and find direction. Following Christ has brought feelings of fulfillment that I could not have felt otherwise.

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping a group of 11 year old Boy Scouts learn basic values about how to become better students and members of the community.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

I'm happy to belong to a Church that does not endorse political parties or candidates. While there are some moral issues that the Church takes a public position on, it is a relief to belong to a Church that does not conflate politics and religion. Show more Show less
