Hi I'm Gentrie

I love cats, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I think being bored is the the worst thing in the world. Those who know me, know I can't sit still for more than 10 seconds. I love doing things outdoors, it really helps me to enjoy my time here on earth. I recently started to rock climb and I think its probably the most intense thing ever. The thrill of experiencing life is one that I'm so grateful for. Sometimes life can be tough, but I love the challenge. In my opinion, this life is to short to not take advantage of it. Sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants, but thats alright. Consistancy is hard, and that is a fact.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My Mom and Dad raised me that way. I'll be forever grateful for my parents and the example and standards they helped me set. All growing up I knew the church was true, but it took 18 years to realize it. In high school I started hanging out with this group of kids (who are now my best friends) who had a very strong testimony that the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. They had something that I wanted and that I didn't have, that was joy and happiness. I saw the important role the restored gospel of Jesus Christ played in their lives and I wanted that. One thing led to another and I ended up reading the Book of Mormon for myself and I prayed to know if it was true. Ever since that experience I've never been happier. The Book of Mormon is a powerful witness of Jesus Christ. It teaches us what we must do to return to live with him. As I read from it's pages I felt my life begin to change. I wanted to be better. Gods love flowed through me, and it's a feeling that's hard to put into words. So why am I a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? Because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. As I live what I learn, I become overwhelmed with a sense of belonging, peace, happiness, and purpose. Living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life, and the lives of those around me.

How I live my faith

At this point in my life, I'm serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a missionary I have the opportunity and privilege of sharing the gospel of others. I get to teach people how they can come closer to Jesus Christ, and experience a fullness of joy. It's amazing the light that comes into ones life as they begin to learn about the true gospel, and live it. There are over 50,000 missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints throughout the world and we are all united by one cause: To invite others to come unto Christ, by helping them receive the restored gospel, through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end. We dedicate all of our time and attention to serving the Lord for two special years. I love serving others and helping them to have better, happier, and more peaceful lives. This gospel changes peoples lives, live it and see for yourself.
