Hi I'm Sean

I'm Colorado grown. I'm an architecture student. I'm a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 24 year-old architecture student at the University of Colorado. I love the outdoors and nature, but I am also fascinated by large cities and urban design. My favorite things to do include soccer, snowboarding, cliff-jumping, hiking, camping, wakeboarding, and other outdoor sports. I also enjoy exploring cities and admiring all the architecture. I love spending time with my wife, my family, and my friends. Above all I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is my most defining attribute.

Why I am a Mormon

The easy answer to this question is that I was born and raised as a Mormon. My parents are Mormon and all of my family is Mormon. But there is much more to it than that. I’m a Mormon because I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I have come to know for myself that this is true through diligent study and prayer and the Lord has revealed to me through the power of the Holy Ghost, as He has revealed to millions of others, and as He will to all those who desire, that this is His church and His gospel. I’m a Mormon because I have found joy by living the commandments taught in the Church and by trying to align my life with the teachings of Christ – a joy that cannot be found by any other means.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example of the believers, as Paul councils Timothy, in every aspect of my life. In many instances living as a Mormon makes me weird to many people. I don’t drink, or use drugs, or use fowl language. I don’t work or participate in recreational activities on Sunday. I take religious classes when my schedule is already busy. I try to be kind and thoughtful to everyone around me. I married my wife before living with her for a few years as society expects. I will gladly talk to most people about religion which many see as taboo. Basically I try to live the teachings of Christ no matter what the circumstances. With that said I still enjoy a good time. I enjoy laughing and joking. I enjoy playing and watching sports. I enjoy going out with friends. I enjoy music and entertainment. I just try to keep everything within the bounds that the Lord has set.
