Hi I'm Taylor

I am a husband, a father, and an avid fisherman, golfer, recovering drug addict and alcoholic and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a husband, a father, and an avid fisherman, golfer and recovering drug addict and alcoholic.

Why I am a Mormon

I have experienced quite a bit in this life that has made it necessary for me to have a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ. The feelings I get when I read in the Book of Mormon and the direction and guidance I receive are undeniable. To know that I have a Savior who loved me enough to give me a living prophet who can continue to lead and guide His children in todays world is so comforting. I am a Mormon because I have found peace and true happiness in daily practicing and living by the principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is very simple. The two great commandments were to love the Lord Thy God with all thy heart. And to love my neighbors as myself. Everybody deserves to be loved and treated in a kind and gentle way. Just as our Savior Jesus Christ loved us in the laying down of his life, I too strive to love everybody who I come in contact with in word and deed. Service is a huge part of how I live my faith. My calling in my ward as the Ward Mission Leader was a great way to show this love. This calling gave me a chance to get out and work with the full time missionaries and to get out in my local neighborhood to meet new people and offer help in any way. Currently I am serving as the 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum presidency and this too has allowed me to look for ways to lift and serve the brethren in our ward and by so doing I lift my own spirit.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

ASK! Ask to know who he is and what His will for you is in this life. He loves all His children so much. When I was trying to connect to my Heavenly Father and find out if He truly existed and if He had a plan for me I had to spend many nights on my knees expressing my desire and will to know Him. It might take some time and patience but He will answer your prayers and you will come to know who He is. He loves us and for that reason He will answer your prayers. He will not leave you comfortless. Show more Show less
