Hi I'm Kristi Reeves

I was born on a farm in eastern Utah. I'm a wife, a mother and a college student and I'm a mormon

About Me

I am the 6th child in a family of 7, a lucky wife, the mother of 3 children, a neighbor, a sister and friend. I love to bake and cook and because of that, I love to run (okay jog), play tennis and read good books. I love people and feel a great satisfaction when I can have a real conversation about real things. I am going back to collage to earn my degree but I realize that there is nothing more important in my life right now than being a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all of my life. However, my true conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ came when as a young wife and mother my husband and I moved thousands of miles away from our families to go to school and start our family. It was when people started asking me what I believed and how I knew it that I started to realize that maybe I didn't know it for myself but had trusted the testimonies of those I loved. After several years of searching and working for my own answers, the knowledge that I now have of this gospel came after my bishop challenged us to read the Book of Mormon with real intent. I had 3 young children and to this point in my life had never read and studied the Book of Mormon. All I can tell you is that that book changed my life forever. It seemed that something changed inside of me as I sincerely read and studied the words of those prophets and along side that the words and counsel of our living prophets and apostles. I am a mormon today because I know that it is the true church of Christ and as I continue to study the book of Mormon over and over, my faith and testimony have turned into a sure knowledge

How I live my faith

I am so grateful to live a full and happy life. I have the great priviledge of serving the young women who are 14-15 in my neighborhood, one of those being my own daughter. I also get to go into the homes of 3 of my families to share a gospel message with them at least once a month but have found that my love for them has developed into a friendship that finds me thinking about them and trying to serve them as often as I can. Maybe the greatest way I try to live my faith is to repent often and forgive others. I try to serve whenever I can and help others find Jesus Christ through my actions.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Kristi Reeves
We believe that families can be together forever. My family is far from perfect and we know that our Heavenly Father is very aware of that. However, he has promised us that if we will continually strive to keep his commandments and do all that we can do, then we will be together with our families through eternity. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Kristi Reeves
Our Temples are used to seal families together forever. I also get to make covenants with God there and receive different promises from Him. A temple is a house of God and everytime I enter, I am filled with a peace that cannot be matched. I love to go to the Temple Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kristi Reeves
I feel that I have come to better know and understand the true nature of my Father in Heaven through hard life lessons and experiences. When life got hard, and at times it seemed too hard, I chose to turn to my Father and plead for help and guidance. My simple vocabulary are not good enough to describe the answers and blessings that he would pour out upon me. Though he did not change my circumstance, he changed my heart and that made all the difference. Show more Show less
