Hi I'm Ken

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of five and grew up in California. I have always been a member of the LDS church and have benefited greatly from that membership. I play the guitar. I enjoy outdoor sports such as rock climbing and mountain biking, traditional sports like hockey and soccer, I have always been a runner, and more recently a triathlete. From July 26, 2006 to July 31, 2008 I served as a missionary for the LDS church in Oregon. My experience as a representative of Jesus Christ greatly impacted my life and continues to shape how I live today. Since my mission I have been living as a college student; I try to do well in school and and make sure I have time to have fun as well. I work part time while I am earning a degree in Civil Engineering. I think that most people would describe me as having a pretty easy going personality. I would describe myself as being a lot less serious than I might seem at first.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I grew up in the LDS church I spent much of my growing up years being involved in church activities. These activities allowed me to learn more and more about the faith I was born into. I learned about promises that the Lord had made to those who seek Him out and I learned from some great mentors how they came to believe in the LDS church. These experiences combined with those of normal everyday living led me to test one of the promises I learned about so many times. In the Book of Mormon it is written that anyone seeking a personal knowledge of its truthfulness may ask God. I found out for myself that the Book of Mormon is true in this exact way. I am a Mormon because I know that every time I have put any one of Lord's promises to the test He come through for me.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the LDS church has positively affected every part of my life. I try to live my faith by: Being honest at all times Treating all people with respect and kindness Working as best I can Reading the scriptures and praying daily Living healthy Giving Service Using my time well
