Hi I'm Bruce

I grew up in California. I'm a Powder Skiing addict. I help people around the world and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an avid snow skier, mountain biker, world traveler, dad, husband and business professional.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the doctrine is pure, the tenents of the church make common sense and the feelings I get as I practice its teachings resonate with me and fill my life with peace & happiness. As I've lived, worked and traveled to over 32 countries, and have talked with people all over the world that agree with me that life's most important things are family, friends, serving others and loving. I have not found another organization in this world who's sole purpose is to lift others, alleviate poverty and bring us closer to God than the Mormon church. I've been fortunate to not only have found just any religion, but a powerful, true and eternal-focused faith that leads me to God and helps me understand my place & potential in this world. I can't think of how I could survive being a devoted father & husband to my children & wife without a strong knowledge of Gods plan and accountability to him for all my actions. Being a Mormon helps me be the person I want to be!

How I live my faith

I love serving in my church and try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ better each day. I work full time during the week in business & I devote a lot of time on Sundays to serve in a volunteer position in the church, mostly in teaching and spending time with youth. Forgetting my self ocassionally and reaching out to others and also praying and studying daily helps give me more energy, & perspective in all facets of my life.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Bruce
Mormon women are just like other non-Mormon women. Some work, others stay at home with children, some serve in political office, participate in Olympics, etc., and others are active in community and service organizations. In our church, women are revered and actually play an important role in mens lives. As men, we feel we can't gain the highest esteem in God's eyes unless we treat women as equals, respect them, and live worthily. Doing these things will allow us to live eternally with our spouse after we die. Also, our church sponsors the largest and longest-lasting woman's group in the world--the Relief Society organization. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Bruce
No. It's a misconception by many. I've never thought about doing it nor heard it practiced in the church. He was an important prophet that helped restore Jesus' church, but was a mortal man who is revered, but not worshiped. Show more Show less
