Hi I'm Frank

I love anything that involves the outdoors, Louisville Cardinals, and excitement . I'm a philosopher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am your ordinary college student and trying to get my career going. My major is a traditional track of Philosophy and a minor in Criminal Justice. I love anything related to the Louisville Cardinals and basketball. I served a full-time mission in the Las Vegas mission and so glad that I got to serve in the areas that I did. It was never in my plan to serve a mission but it has changed my life. I am super chill and love sarcasm. I am planning on going into Law Enforcement. It has been something that I have always wanted to do and I continue to try and find the right opportunity to get hired on by one of the police departments. Until then I will finish up the last year and a half of college and have my degree in Philosophy and Criminal Justice. Family is huge to me because it has help develop me into the person I am today. My extended family our not members of the church but they have set an example for me in believing in Christ. Throughout my childhood I had always been involved in either my church or the churches my relatives went to so learning about the Gospel has had an impact in my life. However, I was never active in the gospel up until I went on my mission. I had no testimony or knowledge of Jesus Christ and his gospel. I had to find it before I entered the MTC and still continue my growth.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to converts of the church so I grew up in the church but did not really care or want to learn about it. I went to church every Sunday and did everything they asked me to but I did not understand what I was doing. I was just going through the motions. Little by little my own testimony started to grow until I went on a mission. My understanding of the gospel was very small before my mission. Now it has been shown unto me by the power of the Holy Ghost that these things are true. It was not until the mission that I truly understood that this gospel is true. That it was up to me to learn about it and pray to ask if it was true. I am so glad that my parents and friends at church set the example for me. If they did not, I might not be at where I am today. I have the opportunity to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday and also teach people how they can be happy in this life. That is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is the same church that Christ set up himself while on the earth. That the Atonement of Jesus Christ is real and that we can apply it into our life to make us become better and stronger. I know now that the Gospel is very simple that we must build our faith in Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. Having the fullness of the gospel work in your life will let you know that these things are true. That all of the blessing that were on the earth in the time of Christ are back on the earth today. It is because of the love of our Heavenly Father that this is possible and His Son, Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon has let me know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world, that Joseph Smith was called to be His prophet in these days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church. Everyone can know these things by reading and praying about it.

How I live my faith

I try my hardest to follow the example of Jesus Christ and live by the teachings of the gospel. It is hard to do in everyday life, but because of Jesus Christ and the Atonement we can be forgiven of those mistakes. The Gospel of Jesus Christ means a lot to me know because I want to learn more. It truly changes your life and makes you a better person, if you let it. There are so many things you can do to increase your faith. By setting an example for your friends or family can make a huge difference in your life and their life. I can build my faith my reading the scriptures and applying it into my life, by praying to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ to help me through life's problems, and by going to church to partake of the sacrament to renew my promise with Heavenly Father that I made at baptism. As I increase my faith in Jesus Christ the easier it is for me to make it everyday even with the trials that I go through. It is so easy to have access to the gospel in this time. We can have the scriptures on our phone, hear the words of a prophet anytime we need it, and share these things with other over the internet. As we share the gospel with those we love it increases our faith and helps them change their life. The gospel is there for everyone at any point in their life. Sometimes it is hard to figure out when to share the gospel but having the Holy Ghost work in our life will help us out. He is there to guide, help, and protect us as long as we will listen to him. I know I am living my faith when I have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. It makes you feel so much better about your life and the trials we go through. One thing I have learned is that life is hard, but the gospel is not. I have been lucky to be able to gain a testimony and to understand how it can change my life. You will never stop learning or having trails but what you learn now will help you get past those trials. Our ultimate goal is to return to live with out them.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will talk about how much our Heavenly Father loves us and why it is important that we have a living prophet on the earth today. The biggest part they will focus on is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It is because of the sacrifice that we can return to live with them again. As we apply the gospel of Jesus Christ into our life we will receive happiness in our families even though all of us don't have perfect family life. That is why we need a prophet in this time period just as we did in times past. They testify of Christ and what He did for all of us. That the gospel is the way that we can return to live with them again. That is why another prophet was called, Joseph Smith. Through him, the Church that Christ established was brought back and all of the blessings with it came back. The Book of Mormon lets us know if all these things are true. It is another testimony of Christ and his life. Just in another part of the world which shows Gods love of all of his Children. It is through the spirit you feel that you can know for your self if these things are true. Don't believe the missionaries words, take it up with God! Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I do believe that we have a living prophet on the earth today. A prophet is someone called by God to be the spokesperson on the earth. He receives revelation, prophesy, and gives us council from our Heavenly Father to the world. Having a prophet on the earth lets us know that He still loves us. That he would not just call prophets in the "bible times" and not in our times. Thomas S. Monson is that prophet on the earth today. He was given that authority by the laying on of hands and lets us know what God wants us to, even if it is calling us to repent! As we listen to his council we will be blessed in this life. That we can be happy and have joy even when the times are tough. My family has seen the blessings from following the council of the prophet. When it was given to get out of debt and start a food storage, my parents did. Then many years later around 2009, my parents lost their jobs. So we needed to live off of the food storage. If they did not listen to that council we would have been in debt and not had any food saved up to live off. That is just one blessing that has com from listening to the living prophet. I know that he is a true prophet of God. That as we listen to him, we will receive blessings. Some are big while sometimes we might not notice them. But we will always receive those blessings as we obey the commandments of God. Show more Show less
