Hi I'm Lindsey
I'm a concert junkie. I've climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and hiked the Inca Trail. I love to explore. I'm a Mormon.
I'm currently serving as a missionary in the New Hampshire Manchester mission. New England is beautiful, the people are amazing, and there's no better way I'd rather spend my time than sharing the Gospel! I went to school at BYU Provo, I'm majoring in Advertising, and hoping to become a copywriter someday. I love sunny days, cool grass, boating, horseback riding, and reading books on my front porch. I want a job that will allow me to associate with many different types of people, and I want to travel the world. My dream is to study abroad in New Zealand or Australia. I love chocolate milk, pomegranates, and popcorn. I love basketball, football, baseball, and rugby. I love country music, John Mayer, and indie music. I love short paragraphs and sentence fragments. I believe a long drive can solve almost any problem. My family and friends are the most important people in my life. Life is hard, but we tend to have more appreciation for the things we have to fight for. And the harder we work, the greater the reward in the end.
Why I am a Mormon
When I was in college, I had to decide what was truly important to me. I was born into a LDS family, and my parents have always shared their love of the gospel with me. In addition, I've always felt the church is true, but I never really knew. I reached a point in my life though, where I wasn't doing what I should. I wasn't necessarily making any bad decisions, I just wasn't doing anything to help me progress. Life is constantly in motion; if you aren't moving forward, you're moving backwards. I knew that if I continued on the path I was on, I would never end up where I wanted to be. I had to make a decision. I could either put in the effort required to find if the church was true - which could potentially bring me the greatest happiness ever! - or I could settle for never knowing, and just stay content where I was. I've never been one to settle for mediocre, so I decided to put in my mission papers, because what better way to see if the church is true or not, than by sharing it with others? I've never had a single magnificent moment of revelation, proving to me that the church is true like you hear in so many stories. I've just found so many reasons that testify to me the truth of the gospel. Now I can't go a single day without seeing God's hand in my life! I can see how much He truly loves all of His children and how much He has done for us. And it's absolutely amazing.
How I live my faith
I believe that the greatest example of my faith is in how I treat others. Everyone had their struggles, whether you know it or not. I strive to help improve at least one person's life daily, just like Christ does. I listen for promptings from the Spirit, and try my best to act on them.
