Hi I'm Evan

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm a soldier, I'm a medic and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 26 years old, married to my best friend and have the three coolest little boys anyone could ask for. God, family and my country are the most important things to me. I am a medic in the U.S. Army and I love my job. I plan to continue my education in the medical field. I grew up in eastern Idaho and there developed a great love for the outdoors. Hiking, camping, rock climbing, riding dirt bikes and ATVs are my favorite things to do. I love music! I play piano, violin and guitar and occasionally dabble with lyrics. I enjoy photography, travelling, good conversation and cold pizza. If there was anything that I would want someone to know about me, it's that I know God lives and that Christ is my savior!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Christ! He is my Savior and my King. Through all the many trials and experiences in my life He has been constant. Even when I would not follow Him and would not let Him into my life, He waited patiently. Though I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I did not always follow the commandments or even attend church meetings. Through my own choices I came to a point where my faith was weak and I thought all hope was gone, but the Lord guided me still and it is the love and example of inspired people around me who helped me to obtain forgiveness and full conversion. Through Christ all things are possible. I know because of experience. I know because I pray unto Him and He answers. I know because as I have listened and followed His counsel I have been eternally blessed. The Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives!

How I live my faith

The greatest way that I feel I can live my faith is by owning up to the responsibilities that are given me. Our Heavenly Father counts on all of us to do what is right and to follow Him, that we may be happy and return to live with Him. He expects us to be exemplary in all we do and not accept mediocrity. Striving to be a great husband and father not only shows Him that I am willing to work hard for the blessings He sends, but that I am grateful for this wonderful life He has given me. The same goes for my work and positions in the church. I am a medic and always try to make it my mission to serve and care for the wellness of those who serve and defend us. On the Sabbath I teach Sunday school to the youth. I am also a Varsity Scout Coach for the Boy Scouts of America. There are definitely times of struggle throughout all this, but it is through my Lord Jesus Christ, who strengthens me, that I am able to accomplish all that is asked of me.
