Hi I'm Mike

I'm a businessman, health and fitness fanatic, self proclaimed mountain man, and Im a mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Mike. I'm a 23 year old male and just returned from serving a full time mission for the LDS church in Seoul Korea. I have started my own company and love the business world! My favorite aspect of business is meeting new people and connecting with them. I love the outdoors! I love anything sports, or fitness related. I have an awesome family. I have been truly blessed in my life and love to share those blessings with those around me. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel like there are a million+ different ways to answer this question! But if I were to accumulate my answers and summarize them, the answer would be, because it makes me happy! ^^ Life is hard, and this world is becoming more complex and confusing every day. Every day there are new studies from numerous sources that all contradict each other. And all of them claim to be good for you and your family. But there is one thing that has not changed, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the scriptures it mentions tumultuous storms and foundations to build upon. If you build your life on an unstable (sandy) foundation, like a building, it will fall and crumble with every shift and storm it faces. This Gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are the solid (rock) foundation I have built my life upon. It gives me peace, direction, and purpose in a world that has none. I love this Gospel, I am so grateful for the personal testimony I have. I know that anyone who wants to have the same knowledge I have, the same peace, serenity, hope, and purpose I feel can receive it if they just try it. "prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.". Talk with the missionaries, keep your commitments with a sincere heart and I promise you that your own personal witness will come.

How I live my faith

While walking on the shore of galilee the Savior said, "come, follow me". I take that charge very seriously. As a member of his church we make a covenant to follow him and his example for eternity and im very committed to that covenant. I love reading the scriptures! they are an amazing source of personal insight and revelation that help me unwind and prepare for my day. I love prayer. God is our father, and i love talking with him. I love the Book of Mormon! I carry one everywhere I go. And i love to serve others. That's the mission of the Savior. So many people try to follow the Savior, and want to be like him, and its simple! Think about others constantly. Always ask yourself what others need. Whenever you pass them on the street, or in a store, on the road, or in a home or business ask yourself constantly, "what does this person need?" "what does that person need?" That is the true mission of the Savior. That's the path of a disciple, and I am committed to following it forever.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mike
No, we are all children of god. We are taught to love one another, like the Savior loves us. The Savior is the perfect example of love, he suffered for our sins, even the sins of those who persecuted him. We all seek to be like him, and to eventually return to live with him. I have found out personally that the only way anyone can obtain happiness is by serving one another. Show more Show less
