Hi I'm Tammy

I'm a wife, a mother, and a singer. I love Jesus Christ and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a wife and a mother is so fulfilling! There are days that are hard, but it is so worth it. I love music and am a Music Major. I love to sing, especially Jazz! I love camping, hiking, four wheeling, and the outdoors. I love warm weather and warm summer nights. I love spending time with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith, but that doesn't mean that I didn't have to find out for my self that this was the Lord's Church! I know for myself that this is His Church because I have prayed about it, and the Holy Spirit has given me such peaceful feelings, over and over again that it is :D Just as sure as I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. Reading it brings me closer to Jesus Christ and to my Heavenly Father! Because I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, I also know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet today. How wonderful to know that a Prophet - like Moses, Noah, and Abraham - is living today! I know that after I die, I not only will live with God again, but I get to keep my family with me forever! All I have to do, is keep following the Lord's commands. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love me tremendously! I feel Their love everyday! Because of this knowledge, I am at peace with myself and with God! If I were to die today, I would not be afraid to meet my Maker!

How I live my faith

In my ward, I teach the children songs about God and Jesus Christ and the Gospel. I love singing with these sweet children, and learn a lot from their pure hearts! They are so smart! Their capacity to learn a song so quickly is wonderful! I love them with all my heart!

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

There are so many people in the world who have died without knowing about the Gospel. If God loves everyone and is not a respecter of persons, why would He not let all of His children have an opportunity to learn about His Gospel? The answer is, He does give that opportunity to everyone of His children! Those that didn't have this opportunity to learn here on earth, have the opportunity to learn after they die :D And because baptism is something you do here on earth, we search out those that haven't had that opportunity and we are baptized for them in our temples. What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that God is our Heavenly Father and that He loves us very much! He wants us to succeed at life and to be happy. He has helped me and been there for me thousands of times! Show more Show less
