Hi I'm Jeff Crandall

I'm a Mormon. I love being a daddy and husband!

About Me

I'm a daddy of four great kids and I have a smokin' hot wife. I'm lucky to be blessed with such great people in my family who make me want to be the best I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I acknowledge the hand of God in all that I do and am. I feel my Savior's love and know that I am guided by the Holy Ghost. God has a plan for me and knows me personally. I pray to Him and thank Him for all He has given me and I ask Him for guidance and help. I know He lives and loves ALL of His children even more than I love my own children - that knowledge burns inside me.

How I live my faith

I enjoy reading the scriptures and listening to living prophets and apostles. I receive answers to life's problems and gain new personal insights when I study and read and listen. When I receive instruction on things I can improve, I make sure to listen to this counsel and try to be better. It isn't hard to live a good life and it is rewarding to continuously apply my faith in my life. I try to help my family understand and live the teachings of Jesus Christ as well. Together we work toward purifying and sanctifying our lives. That is a constant goal.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Jeff Crandall
Hah! Self-reliance is important to everyone. Mormons have been trying to be self-reliant for many years, but this is not a practice exclusively reserved for Mormons. It is, however, very well organized and emphasized in the Mormon culture as one of the things we can do to be prepared for unexpected future events. "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." In whom should we have faith?

Jeff Crandall
I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I have faith in God, our Father in heaven. We should build our faith in and have a knowledge and understanding of God and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Jeff Crandall
The Book of Mormon is "another witness" of the divinity of the Savior Jesus Christ. It is an account written by prophets who lived on the American continent. It is a book of scripture that stands with the Bible as the word of God. I know the Book of Mormon is true just as I know the Bible to be the word of God. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Jeff Crandall
Without authority, baptism is a meaningless act. There must be authority to perform baptism so the ordinance will be acceptable to God. The priesthood is that authority - to act in the name of God. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Jeff Crandall
God's prophets are always chosen by God through revelation. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Jeff Crandall
To know God is to love God. To know Jesus Christ and His teachings is to love Jesus Christ. The only way to increase faith in and a testimony of the divinity of our Savior Jesus Christ is to find out for yourself what His teachings are and then pray to receive a confirmation of these beliefs. Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Jeff Crandall
Jesus Christ founded the "Mormon Church" or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ in our time. This church is the same church as the ancient church which also had apostles and prophets at the head. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Jeff Crandall
The Law of Chastity is the belief that sexual conduct is sacred and as such is an important part of a committed, loving relationship between husband and wife. Sexual activity before marriage or adultery or sexual activity outside of a marriage is contrary to God's Law of Chastity. He wants us to be happy and has set these boundaries to ensure our happiness in this arena. The world would have us believe that sex is commonplace and unrestricted. This attitude toward sexual conduct is not part of God's plan. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Jeff Crandall
The easiest answer to this question is "missionary work." But I have a slightly different opinion on why the church continues to grow. The Lord wants to bless His children. We can receive promised blessings - often they are there just for the asking. The fact that prayers are answered and these feelings are readily available to anyone who seeks to know is my attribution theory. The result of these blessing is belief, leading to commitment, leading to baptism into the true church. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jeff Crandall
Mormons worship God, the Eternal Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and as such we honor him, but we do not worship him. Show more Show less
