Hi I'm Brooks
I grew up in Nevada. I shoot from down town. I'm a Mormon.
Im from northern Nevada and I am on a mission in BIllings, Montana. I have been out on my mission since July 28, 2010. It is a great experience and a honor to be serving the Lord for two years. Being on a mission is the greatest oppurtunity I can have in my life. I know that these experiences are preparing me for my life after my mission and also it is blessing my family while I am here. There is no college experience that comes close to the experiences of serving a mission. College will always be there for me when I return but the mission I am on is a once in a life time oppurtunity. I love watching sports and I really love playing sports. My favorite sports are basketball and baseball. I played basketball and baseball all through high school and have not stopped playing them with friends and family. Even if it mean having a wiffle ball world series in the back yard.
I'm a Mormon because it is the truth and it is the light, and we all need the truth and the light in our lives. We learn in the scriptures that Jesus is the light of the world and while we have that light in our lives we will feel the love and joy of Jesus Christ and out Heavenly Father. Our Father in Heaven loves us very much and He has showed that he loves us by restoring his Gospel to the Earth in these Latter times of the world. Being a Mormon brings great peace to ones life because we learn of the plan God has for us. He tells us where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going after our lives on this Earth are over. The comfort of knowing exactly where a loved one is after they have passed away is a blessing and he bring peace to our lives and new hope for the life to come. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has blessed my life and my families lives in every way. We would be lost without the true gospel in the LDS church.
I live my faith by devoting two years of my life to serve others and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone who is ready to listen. Service is a great blessing that comes from being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There becomes a desire to serve others because we know that when you are in the service of your fellow being you are only in the service of your god. Service helps and blesses everyone and the pure love of Christ that you will feel from doing service is irreplaceable. The gospel is for everyone and it can bless everyone if we take it into our lives.
