Hi I'm Richard

I'm a college student, son, grandson, a little and big brother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The outdoors and homemade food are some readily discussed topics in my life. I like to doodle or work clay into miniature sculptures. I served for two years in Brazil, and love the Brazilian people and culture. I am currently attending college, with a major in Communication Disorders. With a large family, I tend to be equally embarrassed and embarrassing around them, but I always seek counsel and teachings from them. My love for them has grown as we have experienced life together, and I want to remain close to them forever.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been an example to me of enduring faithful to the Gospel. Despite challenges even within our family, the devotion I see to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has left an impression that it is truly the Church of God. I am convinced of its truthfulness by the experiences I have had with my family, and thus have been blessed with the gift to believe on the testimony of others. I know these things are true for myself as well. I read the Book of Mormon and found that by living the instructions given therein, I would obtain greater happiness. I took Moroni's challenge in Moroni 10:4, and felt confirmed that I had already known the answer before praying. My family had been diligent in teaching me truth, and now those truths were confirmed by the Spirit. I know that what the Book of Mormon teaches us will make us happy in this life and blessed in the coming one.

How I live my faith

I love meeting new people with the full-time missionaries and discussing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I participate in and teach a Sunday school class of young adults of my age. Also, as members of the Church, we serve in temples, which are the House of the Lord; therein, our family can become eternally bound together.
